Biofeedback is a modern way of learning about ourselves. It's principle is a cognitive process of learning to be aware of and to control inner bodily functions through monitoring their signals in a real time.

Expressed in other words: while doing biofeedback we "feed back" our own body "bio-signals" like heart rate, skin resistance or temperature etc. in a for us perceptible way.

Sensitive electronic instruments measure changes expressed by our body in form of electrical potentials or other measurable parameters. These signals are being amplified and then evaluated, mostly by a computer program, and the results are shown as audiovisual stimuli.

Software for Learn Monitor 2005 and BrainActor

The LearnMon-Software offers a large variety of tools for analysis. It runs on every standard PC (Pentium) with Windows 95/98/ME, XP. The high quality of this modular software and its graphic elements makes it very easy to use. You also can export all your data as ASCII files, so you can work with them in another database or statistic programs. All displays can be printed.

Textinfo Here you can enter all relevant information to one measurement, like data of patient and doctor, your own names for the different channels and comments. Also, this module offers a lot of statistics, concerning the recording process and the connected hardware as well.

Activity Shows the activity course of any frequency you want. With this module you can see the whole measurement with its absolute or relative wave activity at one sight! One can use all the self-defined digital filters to select the individual frequencies.

Fractal Dimension Calculates the fractal dimension of the amplitude data and plots its function course. Excellent tool to indicate the amount of chaos of the EEG data.

Brain-Actor Suite

Brain-Actor Suite is being presently developed as a multimedia psycho-interactive training software for Learn-Monitor and Brain-Actor.
